Industrial thermocouples are usually composed of thermoelectric J insulating material protection tubes and junction boxes. One end of the two thermoelectrics J is welded together to act as a temperature sensing element and is the core part of the thermocouple. The function of the insulating material is to isolate the two thermoelectrics J to prevent short circuits. The function of the protection tube is to prevent the thermoelectric J from directly contacting the measured medium, and it also functions to fix and support the thermocouple temperature sensing element. The function of the junction box is to fix the connection between the temperature sensing element and the external wire, and to protect the temperature sensing element from the external atmosphere.

The ambient temperature of the industrial thermocouple is 20±15°C, the relative humidity is not more than 80%, and the test voltage is 500±50V (DC). The insulation resistance between the electric J and the outer sleeve>1000Ω.m.
